This month, Tim and I had the amazing opportunity to fulfill a dream of driving the entire California coast. We flew into San Diego, spent two nights in La Jolla, drove up and saw LA, Venice Beach, and Hollywood, stayed in Huntington Beach for two nights, and then drove up Route 1, stopping in Big Sur, Monterey, and landing in San Francisco for a super fun engagement shoot, and then ended in Sonoma! We shot all of these on film with our Canon 1V, Kodak Portra 160 and 400 film.
This was the view from our hotel in La Jolla…
La Jolla Cove, our first leg of the trip.
The beautiful Torrey Pines.
We spent a lot of time on the beach 🙂
The Hollywood sign! It was quite the adventure climbing up some steep hills to find a good angle of it…and we only had a 35 mm lens with us so we couldn’t even get a very close shot 🙂
Our beautiful Huntington Beach hotel.
The gorgeous drive up the coast begins…
Beautiful Sonoma wine country!
Amazing views above San Fran. (Thanks Anh and Ben for the photo!! 🙂
San Francisco sunset.
Gorgeous Sonoma wineries.
Sheep weeding the vineyards!!
Lovely dinner overlooking Huntington Beach.
We are so excited for our next time to return to California. It’s the state we feel most at home in….who knows, maybe we’ll get a chance to live on a beach there someday! 🙂 Have YOU been to any of these places? We’d love to hear about your favorite spots in Cali!!
