Part three of our Thailand trip is finally up! If you haven’t seen them yet, check out part ONE here and part TWO first! We ended our two-week adventure at the beautiful, remote, rock-climbing paradise that is Railay Beach. We stayed in a beautiful air-conditioned treehouse with an infinity pool (trust me, the a/c was vitally important!) called Great View Resort + Spa for the grand total of $45/night – southeast Asia, we love your prices 🙂 After a couple of interesting boat rides over to the remote Railay that involved hopping from the ferry boat over the side into another ferry boat then again jumping into a longtail boat (all of these transfers done in the middle of the ocean while throwing our bags over the side into the other boat, haha), we arrived to the stunning cliffs of Railay! There are no cars on the peninsula, just bicycles and walking, and the area has an authentic feel that we really appreciated after the beautiful touristy-ness of Phuket. We rock climbed, swam in super beautiful water, kayaked through caves, saw a Muy Thai boxing match (at “The End of the World” – a must-visit if staying at Railay), ate more noodles, anddddd unfortunately both Shane + I got the worst food poisoning ever to end the trip, haha. We think it possibly was from the super-awesome Grotto at Rayavadee , a place I’d seen all over Pinterest, so just be warned – don’t order meat there! Overall, we loved this beautiful little piece of paradise and had so much fun hiking + exploring it.
