We fully believe that destination weddings are the way to go! I mean, you really can’t beat bringing your best friends and family down to a tropical resort for a few days to relax and celebrate your love, right? And Annie and John happen to know how to pick ’em…friends, that is! We had so much fun getting to know this fun group over the 4 days we spent in Playa del Carmen. Playa del Carmen is such a perfect spot for a destination wedding. It’s right on Riviera Maya, with a fun downtown and crystal-clear turquoise waters, soft sandy beaches, and perfect weather. We were able to squeeze in a “Day-After” session the day before the wedding, complete with getting soaked in the ocean 🙂
Annie + John, we really can’t thank you enough for bringing us down to Mexico. We love you as friends and had an amazing time with you. Your wedding was perfect and we enjoyed every minute of it!
Warning: massively long blog post ahead. 🙂 It was hard to condense 4 days and thousands of photos into this post!
So the first night we were there, we were eating dinner and a magician came over to our table! He was CRAZY. I mean, he could literally bend spoons and read minds. We were all mildly creeped out and fascinated at the same time.
On Saturday, the bridal party played a Bride vs Groom football game on the beach to kick off the day.
Later in the day, we wandered around the beach and downtown of Playa del Carmen with Annie + John for their couples session.
Then, it was rehearsal dinner time in the lovely Italian restaurant on the resort…
…and then the wedding day!!
John relaxed at the beach + pool while the girls got ready…
America’s next top model, anyone?
Showing the cutie flowergirl the proper throwing techniques.
It might have been a liiiiiiiittle bit windy for their ceremony!
The sunset was literally perfection. The group may have been small, but they were mighty…
Annie and John wrote a wish and sealed it in a bottle to throw into the ocean…I absolutely loved this!
The final event of the evening…jumping in the pool after the reception! (We might have ventured into the ocean, too, but we won’t post those 😉
